Good Afternoon all (or morning whatever time you are reading this!!)
I have decided I have been too ambitious with my choice of HAED design that I am going to do...! So... I have chosen another one... Its a bit smaller and not so ambitious and its a Quick Stitch design by Michele Sayetta called Leaf Fairy.. its gorgeous..... Lovely bright oranges and greens... unfortunately its now out of print and I can't find a copy of it anywhere to show you what it looks like.. I will try and scan it in and show you what its like though.

Snow, snow, go away!
I hate the snow! It makes it so difficult to get about, and even more so as I have to use a walking stick because of my arthritis... We moan about the British weather... too hot in the Summer and too cold and wet in the Winter! It looks pretty though.... never mind, back to the stitching... good excuse to curl up and stitch all afternoon... I'm going nowhere!

Finished!
At last, the Winnie the Pooh Sampler for Ellie May is finished... I put in the last stitch about half an hour ago.. .I just need to wash, press and frame it before handing over to her Dad! Now to finish my Granddaughter, Grace's sampler! Sorry the pic is upside down, I've tried everything to rotate it but it just isn't happening.

PIF
Sorry for the delay in announcing the PIF winners, as per my previous post, I have had a very busy couple of weeks... I will be making the decision in the next day or so.
No time.....!
Well the last few weeks have flown by, and I don't seem to have had time to do anything..... hardly touched my stitching and not gonna get the Christmas stuff finished in time.......:-(
On a better note, my granddaughters are much better... they were both diagnosed with Swine Flu, then they got tonsilitis and then to top it all, they had gastro enteritis... poor little mites, they had a really bad two weeks, with one night in hospital...but not the older one, Chloe, can't wait for Santa to arrive! Lucy is too young yet to care, all she likes doing is pulling the baubles off the tree!

It's PIF time again! Carol from Tennessee started this run and I am one of the lucky ones that have been chosen by Jade to continue with this! Thank you Jade http://jadestitch.blogspot.com/
Now it is my turn.
To join in, all you have to do is leave a comment on my blog entry saying you wish to participate. If there are lots of candidates, I will draw three names from a hat to pick the winners. They will then post a PIF entry on their blog and post this logo as well, to continue the PIF.
The three people will then get a small, hand-made gift from me within one year. In return, they too will have to gift the winners they have chosen. And so on, and so on. This is how we stitching bloggers spread the love we put into our projects.
So, if you want to participate, please leave a comment on this Blog, or add yourself as a follower, or simply send me an email (there is a link on the blog to do that!) You have till the end of November to do this.
Happy Stitching
Gill x x

WIP : Angel of Grace
WIP : Angel of Grace
I started this a loooonnnng time ago, but because its 18 count and my eyesight isn't as good as it used to be, I think its going to take a long time to finish! I will, eventually!
Completed : Kite Flying

This is the first large piece that I completed and its been quite a while ago now... just never got round to having it framed.
Completed : Scissor Fob.
Scissor Fob
I got fed up of losing my scissors down between the cushions, and with a little inspiration from a Yahoo cross stitching group, I spent a couple of hours doing this last night... no more lost scissors!!
Quick Finish
Fuschia Bookmark
I needed a bit of a diversion from the block colours in Ellie's sampler, so I did this bookmark.... I think you will agree its lovely and bright.... it took about 8 hours in total over 4 nights, I just have to finish it off with backing it with a nice lilac/violet ribbon.
