Well, as you can see, I have nearly finished Pooh, done some of the backstitching and another honey pot... now to finish the grass, flowers, bees and butterflies and then to the lettering! Only 5 weeks to Christmas... will I be finished!?

  1. Cuteness! We're doing all our baby stuff in Pooh as well except I didn't have time to do a sampler (we're doing Classic Pooh and he's scarce, especially on the chart front and I couldn't find anything I liked).

  4. I did some Pooh once and just about tore all my hair out. Those dratted white spaces in the pattern drove me nuts! Put Pooh away for a bit and had to get back to it as it was a baby gift. Finally wondered wha would happen if I just outlined the whole thing in one strand of the backstitch color. Pooh has no color gradations and it worked like a charm! I just filled in each area with the appropriate color and when done, I finished off the backstitching with another strand of bs color and did the interior backstitching. It was sooo easy! I have one whole folder of Pooh patterns now that I can stitch up and keep my hair, LOL.

Chloe's Afghan is a mix of different Charts from magazines and brochures and took over 12 months to complete... you must agree it was well worth the effort.

Scissor Fob

I got fed up of losing my scissors down between the cushions, and with a little inspiration from a Yahoo cross stitching group, I spent a couple of hours doing this last night... no more lost scissors!!

I needed a bit of a diversion from the block colours in Ellie's sampler, so I did this bookmark.... I think you will agree its lovely and bright.... it took about 8 hours in total over 4 nights, I just have to finish it off with backing it with a nice lilac/violet ribbon.
